Lambrusco dell'Emilia Podere 270 is a classic red wine Lambrusco with second fermentation in the bottle giving a complex and very aromatic wine on the nose. Vibrant and fruity attack, followed by a lovely structure and delicate bubbles. Lovely spices on the finish.

Emilia Romagna is a vast wine region of northern Italy stretching from Parma to Bologna. The region plays a major role in Italy's total production. Malvasia, Lambrusco, and Sangiovese are the key grape varieties. Although Lambrusco has long been thought of as a cheap, sweet, fruity wine, one can now find outstanding dry wines.

The soils in Emilia-Romagna are Quaternary alluvial and glacio-fluvial deposits. From the rolling hills and Apennine peaks in the west to the lower-lying plains near Bologna, and beyond that the coastal plains of the Ferrara province, the soils are clay and sand based. The river Po flows west to east across all these features, marking the region's northern border and linking the Apennines to the Adriatic Sea.
