Tasting Notes
Toccomagliocco is a red wine with an aromatic expression of red fruits and forest floor enhanced by spices in the background. Lively, light and refreshing, with aromas of cherries, red plums, and dry tannins in the finish.
Italy
Calabria
Calabria wine region is the most southern of Italy. Over the centuries many influences enhanced the traditions and techniques of winemaking. Amongst those, ancient Greeks were the first to cultivate vines here. As a result Gaglioppo, Greco Nero, and Greco Bianco are the key grape varieties.

Moderate Mediterranean climate
L’Acino
The soils on the hills of Calabria lie on Tertiary calcareous rocks and sediments. The southern part of Italy is also marked by dolomitic rocks and Quaternary alluvial deposits. Rich in iron oxides, volcanic ashes, sand, and clay, the soils are ideal to grow vines.
