Bogheri Sassicaia is a refined and intense red wine sowing concentrated expression of red and black fruits on the nose, with spice and wild herb aromas in the background. Rich, complex, and graceful attack, with a great depth and structure, followed by sweet tannins, and tobacco flavours over a very long finish.

The region is quite hilly, progressing inward to the Apennine Mountains. Here, many vineyards are planted on the higher elevations of the hillsides to benefit from a cooler weather. The soils composition lie mostly on clay, with a great level of nutrients and organic matter.
