Tasting Notes
Ribera del Duero Flor de Pingus has a refined expression of plums, cedar, and tobacco, with hints of chocolate in the background. Smooth, rich and elegant attack, followed by notes of black fruits, and spices, mellow tannins in the long finish.

Castilla y Leon
Castilla y Leon is a wine region located in the northern half of the central Iberian Plateau. The nine DO appellations lie along rivers flowing into the Duero River, which is named Douro in Portugal. The region is famous for its mineral white wines from Rueda and the bold red wines of Toro, Ribera del Duero and Leon.

Moderate continental climate with maritime influence
Dominio de Pingus
The soils in Castilla Y Leon are influenced by their location within the central Iberian plateau. This region is wedged 700 meters above Sea level between the Cordillera Cantábrica and the Sistema Central mountains. In the mountains, soils are generally mineral-poor, eroded and acidic. The river valleys are alluvial, sandy-stony soils, medium dept, and little water retention. The plains have brown limestone, clay loam texture and low organic matter. The finest vineyards are found in the Duero Valley.
