Côtes du Rhône Brézème shows aromas of black fruits and berries with some spices in the background. Refined, yet crunchy attack with a lovely balance between the fruits and the acidity. Very long and clean finish.
Rhone Valley is a key wine region in the south-east of France, following the Rhone river from Lyon to the Mediterranean coast. This region is divided in two parts - Northern Rhone and Southern Rhone. The first one is home to Syrah for the production of red wines while the second one mostly uses the famous Grenache - Syrah - Mourvèdre blend.
Moderate continental climate
The soils in the Rhone Valley are the result of a geological collision between the Massif Central and the Alps, creating the valley. This region can be split into two sub-regions, Northern and Southern Rhône. The granitic rocks of Northern Rhône are the consequences of volcanic activity in the Massif Central three hundred million years ago. From Vienne to Valence, granite soils and very narrow steep slopes over are making ideal the cultivation of Syrah on terraced vineyards, bordered by walls that retain the earth.
