Tasting Notes
Château-Chalon opens with an aromatic expression of walnuts, mushrooms, with a background reminiscent of curry spices and lemon. Precise, powerful, complex, with intense flavors of nuts and walnuts balanced by citrus, with a soft peaty background.

Domaine André et Mireille Tissot
The soils in the Jura region are composed of Jurassic limestone, red and grey shale, clay and marl-stone. The Jurassic period was named after Jura because the region's limestone mountains are representative of the geological developments which occurred 145 million to 200 million years ago. As a result, two layers of shale, red and grey were covered with Bajocian limestone during the middle of this era.
