Tasting notes
Buzet "Le Pech Abusé" offers an expressive nose of blueberry, blackberry and sloe with earthy, mineral notes. Rich, vibrant and complex attack with further ripe black fruit flavours and a juicy acidity in the palate. Ripe and well integrated tannin leading to an elegant and round finish.
France
Southwest
Southwest is a vast wine region located between Bordeaux and Languedoc-Roussillon. Here the soils, climates, influences, and topography are as wide-ranging as the diversity of the production. From Bordeaux-style wines to tannic wines, this region is also known for its production of dessert wines from Jurançon.

Moderate maritime climate with mountain influence
Domaine du Pech
The soils of the Southwest lie mainly on the Tertiary sedimentary lands of the Aquitaine Basin and on the ancient alluvial deposits of the Quaternary period terraces. The vineyard is planted on clay-limestone soils, sands, pebbles, clays, grey limestones with a clay subsoil. The geological activities contributed to split this region into many sub-regions showing diversity in their soil composition. Soils and subsoils are often poor with good drainage, which is favourable to the cultivation of grapes.
