Tasting notes
Burgenlandrot opens with juicy aromas reminiscent of red and black fruits. Fruity, lively, and refreshing attack with notes of fruits and spices blended together and leading to a nice and clean finish.
Austria
Burgenland
Burgenland is a large wine-producing region on the eastern border of Austria with an unrivalled diversity. This region is renowned for the production of some of the world's finest white wines, but also for producing some of the richest and most full-bodied red wines in Austria using local indigenous varieties.
Moderate continental climate
Meinklang
The soils in Burgenland are constituted of a contrast between the chalk-based, steep slopes of the Leithaberg and the salty lakes and sandy soils on the more easterly Seewinkel. One can also find a different soil composition in Eisenberg in southern Burgenland, like unique layers of basalt in the Styrian town of Klöch, or limestone and clay in the Südsteiermark. This diversity of soils and microclimates allow the production of both, red and white wines.
