Tasting Notes
An intense expression of white flowers, green apples, with a lovely hint of lemon and grapefruits in the background. Fresh, lively, almost crispy attack, with flavors of citrus and apples, over a long dry finish.
Italy
Umbria
Umbria is a wine region located in central Italy. Although two-thirds of the total output are white wines, the regions two DOCG stand for red wines. The local grape Sagrantino is cultivated amongst other Italian or French grape varieties. The last two decades investments helped to improve the quality.

Moderate mountain climate
Cantina Roccafiore
The soils in Umbria are composed of Quaternary alluvial and lacustrine deposits. The alluvial soils, with shallow water table and large organic matter accumulation are ideals to grow vines, often local varieties. Here, clay, pebbles, and rocks play a major role in either retaining and draining water, to keep the quantity needed.
