"Fabien Trosset produces impressive wines in their density and character, while keeping hints of fruits. He is at the top of the appellation.”
Soil Specificity
The soils at the foot of the Bauges massif in the Alps are of clay-limestone type bringing to the vine quantity of nutrients very beneficial to the quality of the grapes. We distinguish two types of soils. On one hand, rich and deep soils based on limestone, sandy-silt, and red clay. On the other hand, poor and shallow soils, stony, based on schist and mica schist with sandy-clay, where the vine roots reach deep down into the rock to draw water and nutrients.

A Passionate Lineage
Domaine Trosset is a family estate located between Chambéry and Albertville, at the Combe de Savoie. In 2011, Fabien took over the domain and kept cultivating the local grape variety, the Mondeuse d'Arbin. This red grape variety, under the work of Fabien Trosset gains local and international recognition.Although the region is mostly known for its white wine production, here the red grapes and red wines dominate. The vines planted in hillsides benefit from an optimal sun exposure and a unique mountain climate - the French Alps.
