Soil Specificity

The soils in Provence are very diverse and contribute to the character of the wines. Throughout Provence, wild, resinous shrubs like rosemary, juniper, thyme, and lavender grow on limestone, clay or schist and add complexity to the wines. Provence is also home to a wonderful climate, offering the vines the perfect environment to thrive. The gentle slopes throughout the region and the history of winemaking in Provence also contribute to the range and quality of wines currently produced.

History / Ethos

Domaine de Trévallon is one of the leading wineries from Provence, on the edge of the Alpilles mountains. The estate spans over 60 hectares with only 16 hectares under vines - the rest being a wild forest. There is no person that has done more to elevate the quality and prestige of the wines from the region than Eloi Dürrbach. His parents created the venture by planting vines in the three valleys (where the estate gets its name) in 1973.
