"Vincent Dauvissat produces Chablis of a rare sincerity, with a pure, compact, vibrant style."

Soil Specificity

The soil in Chablis is known as Kimmeridgean. Located in a sedimentary basin, this low-lying zone was gradually covered by the material that today make up the soil and subsoil of this wine region. One finds subsoils of gray marl which alternate with bands of limestone, sometimes very rich in fossils of Exogyra virgula, a small oyster that is characteristic of the marl from the Middle and Upper Kimmeridgean.

History / Ethos

Domaine René et Vincent Dauvissat-Camus really started when they labelled the first wine under their name in 1931. The estate has gained an international recognition under the passionate work of Robert, René, and now Vincent. Along the generations, this family business remains true to itself, true to the terroir, and true to the surrounding nature. Being a biodynamic domain since 2002, Vincent perpetuates the willing to respect nature. Domaine Vincent Dauvissat enjoys an unparalleled location in the Chablis area with some of the most sought after plots. Vincent’s commitment, passion, brilliant viticulture and winemaking play also a major role in the outstanding quality of the wines.
