"Cyril Audoin produces authentic wines expressing their terroir with elegance and clarity."
Soil Specificity
The soils in Côte de Nuits result on the consequences of the uplift of the Alps and the collapse of the plain of the Saône. The vines are mainly planted on limestone slopes. At the summit sits the famous "stone of premeaux", giving Romanée-Conti, Richeboug, and La Tâche outstanding wines. The soils are formed of calcareous scree, limestone, and red silt with a large diversity of terroir contributing to the typicality of the Côte de Nuits wines.

A Passionate Lineage
The family estate, based in Marsannay, offers a palette of 12 different “climates” among some of the most prestigious in the Côte de Nuits (Marsannay - Gevrey-Chambertin - Pommard).Cyril joined his parents in 2000 and now directs the operations. The preservation of their beautiful terroirs and of the environment guide the way the vine is cultivated. Domaine Audoin's ambition for optimum quality has imposed manual harvesting with selective sorting. Old vines and low yields are also key points of their search for quality wines.
