“Daniele Accordini produces a range of wines of outstanding quality at very reasonable prices.”
Soil Specificity
The soils in Veneto are rocky and majorly made up of alluvial soils. The region enjoys a protection from the harsh northern European climate by its location at the foothills of the Alps. The Adriatic coastal plains and river valleys are where Valpolicella, Amarone and Bardolino reds are produced. The soils are rocky, stony, pebbly and composed with alluvial based on chalk or volcanic origins, providing ideal conditions for growing the local grapes.
A Passionate Lineage
Cantina Valpolicella Negrar was founded in 1933 when seven producers pooled their resources to set up a cellar which could meet the technical and commercial requirements of the modern era. Today the Cantina, led by passionate wine-maker Daniele Accordini, has over 200 members and runs one of the most modern cellars in the region. Cantina di Negrar is the core business of this winery and has always played an important role in the history of the Valpolicella (the first Amarone ever bottled was produced here in 1934), Domini Veneti is a label used for the top-range selection.
