“Francisco and Jose Blanco produces great wines, maintaining the "solera" tradition perfectly.”
Soil Specificity
The soils in Andalusia are really heterogeneous. The diversity and the quality of the region's soils make it excellent base for any kind of agriculture, including thriving vines. Plus, the climate variations found throughout the vast region account for all the different types of Andalusian wines. In the province of Cádiz, the "Sherry Triangle", the secret lies in the chalky, crumbly, moisture-retaining albariza soil, combined with the damp climate, which encourages the growth of the flor.

A Passionate Lineage
Callejuela was founded in 1980 by Francisco Blanco Martinez, after having worked in vineyards for more than 20 years. He started by producing grapes, which he sold to other bodegas. Little by little he keep buying vineyards in some of the best plots. Today, his sons Francisco and Jose are in charge. They own 28 hectares between Sanlúcar, Jerez and El Puerto, mainly in the pagos of Macharnudo and Añina (Jerez), as well as El Hornillo and La Callejuela (Sanlúcar). In 2005 they bottled their first Manzanillas. Beforehand, everything was sold to other wineries. In 2015 they created their new image and for first time presented a range of very special wines.
