“Agustí Torello Sibill produces wines with a high level of complexity and purity.”
The soils in Catalunya are influenced by its Mediterranean climate and border to the Pyrenees. Growing conditions become progressively more arid as you get further inland. The diversity of soil types, mostly calcareous sediments mixed with alluvium, sandy soils, and clay allow the presence of some of the most renowned vineyards of Spain. Microclimates and great vineyards are also found on hidden scattered limestone deposits in the area.
A Passionate Lineage
Agustí Torello mata is a family business founded by Agustí Torello Mata over 50 years ago. Since the inception, this estate has been regarded as one of the top quality producers of Cava. They have pursued this goal creating exquisite, hand-crafted Cavas only based on indigenous varieties from the finest vineyards in the region. Thanks to their hard work and knowledge, the family has proven that Cava can rival the best Champagnes and sparkling wines in the world. All the wines are either Brut Nature (with no dosage after the disgorgement), or Brut (very light dosage to preserve flavour and promote complexity).
